Lierd Reunion

We went camping a couple weeks ago for the Lierd Reunion which was different than the norm because it is usually on the house boat at Lake Powell. This was a nice change. I am always worried about the kids being around the water for so long. It was a nice open area near the water so the kids could run and play all they wanted and I wasnt worried about them wandering off and getting lost. We went on 4 wheeler rides, made our own race track for the motorcycles and had a horseshoe tournament for the adults and then for the kids. This year for the family picture we all made our own tie dyed shirt. Obviously as you can see in our picture, I have never done this before so mine turned out kind of lame.
Garrett spent most of his time down by the lake fishing. He was so determined that he was going to catch something but sadly enough, he didnt. There just weren't any fish biting.
Weston rode his motorcycle nonstop.. I don't think he took his motorcycle boots off all weekend. When he wasn't doing that him and Garrett were taking all the kids into our trailer and having them watch ALF. Remember that show? I used to love it and so I bought the seasons on DVD and the kids cant get enough of it.
Braxton spent most of his time racing with Quinton on the track that Curtis made for them. Even Dennis and Patrick got into the races but they were on 4 wheelers.... not quite as easy to make those turns!!
The horseshoe tournament got pretty serious and went on for several hours. Most of the teams were pretty evenly matched. I sucked of course, but I got a few points and even a ringer to help out Dennis. Good thing he can play.
At night we hung out around the campfire and listened to music, made smores and played games after we put the kids to bed. Our favorite was Dirk's famous "One frog" game. It is a riot. Everyone had a really nice time.
