I haven't been very good at this blog thing lately. I did manage to get my background and a few other things changed though. At least that shows a little effort on my part.
Good news about the frogs... they are all still alive.
We are all just so busy. I can't wait until things slow down a bit. In the last couple weeks we have celebrated Mom's birthday, My birthday and Steven's and Weston's are coming up soon. Not to mention the deer hunt, Halloween and the Turkey Shoot. I think my life will settle down sometime mid-November (I hope).
I told Dennis that I wanted to pick out my own present this year so I drug him around town all afternoon last week looking at tread mills which is what I have been wanting. The only thing he was impressed with is the sound system that some of them have. The new ones have Ipod ports, fans and t.v.'s built right in! What a way to motivate someone to get on them. Definitely much better than the ones at the gym. I didn't get to bring it home though because my husband decided that he would rather pay them to deliver it and set it up so it should be here tomorrow.
The kids are out of school Thurs, Fri and Mon for UEA so we are headed to Hanksville Thurs for the deer hunt. The kids are so excited. They love to get up early in the morning and go out with us. Dennis didn't draw out this year so I guess it is just up to me and Braxton to fill the freezer! It has been such a piece of cake the last few years. We hunt the same field and get 1-2 bucks every year. No wandering around in the snow and mud, no hiking up the side of a mountain, no camping in the cold. We just park at the edge of the field about 6am and wait until it is light and then walk in a little closer and shoot. What a deal!
I will have to update you next week if that is still a successful plan of attack or not.
The boys are all doing well. I think they are a little bummed that it is getting colder and they can't play outside as much but I'm sure they will survive. I might not, but I think they will be ok playing inside for a few months. When my nerves get shot, I just bundle them up and herd them towards the door. Later I feel bad about their frozen noses and so I always have hot cocoa waiting for them when they come in.
My goal for this fall was to get a new family picture taken but so far that hasn't worked out. I want to get it taken outdoors but can't think of the perfect place.
If anybody has any cool ideas let me know.
