Halloween

Halloween was a busy day for us. The kids had a parade at school and then we needed to hurry and drive to Hanksville so that we were there in time for the festivities there. The whole town was gathered at the elementary school where they had a big dinner of navajo tacos set up and then had a costume contest, games for the kids, a spook alley set up at the old church and then trunk-or-treat at the church. They even had a contest for who had the best decorated car. The kids had such a good time especially seeing as how the object of trunk-or-treat in such a small town is to hurry and go around to the cars as many times as you want until everyone runs out of candy. Weston and Garrett both won cakes at the Cake Walk game and a bunch of other toys and drinks. It was fun to see the whole town get involved. I dressed up this year as a pirate but of course, I am always the one taking the pictures so I did not get a picture of myself. I even had this really cool fake tatoo on the side of my neck!
